Teen Mental Health Treatment

We recognize the unique stressors that young people of today face— from living in the digital world to struggling with social pressure and identity. To create the highest potential for success, Clear’s teen outpatient program offers clinical, medical, and experiential therapies, including art, music, mindfulness and writing, and helps teens develop healthy relationships as part of their recovery. Through three levels of care: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and outpatient services— we provide evidence-based care to help adolescents heal from mental health disorders and unhealthy coping mechanisms, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use.

Support, Community and Comprehensive Care Proven to Heal the Whole Family

We know each teen is unique, and it’s essential to provide the level of care and treatment that’s best for them. That’s why Clear’s Adolescent Program offers three options:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Outpatient services

And, we understand family participation is key to sustainable healing. At PHP and IOP levels of care, we engage families in multi-family therapy groups, monthly family sessions, and weekly family updates. Our approach ensures clients and their families benefit from supportive community alongside our licensed and credentialed experts.

Signs That My Child Might Benefit from Outpatient Treatment

Clear’s teen outpatient program is best for adolescents who need more support than weekly therapy in order to fully address their mental health and thrive. Outpatient treatment may be the best fit for your child if they are experiencing:

    • Anxiety related to school, including both academics and peer relationships
    • Prolonged academic difficulty or declining motivation and focus
    • Isolation or withdrawal from friends or activities they once enjoyed
    • Apathy, boredom, hopelessness or excessive and prolonged sadness
    • Drug abuse, disordered eating or self-harm
    • Insufficient improvement with weekly therapy

Our teen outpatient treatment can address the root causes of these issues before any emotional, physical or academic repercussions worsen. Although teen mental health conditions are highly treatable, many wait too long before receiving adequate care and support.

Academic and Therapeutic Support in Clear’s Teen Outpatient Program

Clear Recovery Center’s outpatient programs use a comprehensive approach. Each level of care includes a combination of evidence-based modalities including:

    • Group therapy sessions to provide a sense of community, promote self-regulation, and establish a support network of peers
    • Individual therapy to support continued healing from underlying issues, gain insight and set goals
    • Counseling to build skills for navigating transition and creating positive change
    • Coping skills to reduce emotional overwhelm, manage stress and enhance mood
    • Psychiatry care and medication management throughout the program as needed
    • Alumni programming and aftercare planning to facilitate long-term healing and support that extends beyond discharge
    • Confidentiality to prevent any disclosure of information related to treatment without consent and full release by the client and/or client’s family

At Clear, we’re proud to offer academic support to help teen clients balance recovery and academic progress— two things that are essential to improved wellbeing. Throughout our program, an academic consultant works with clients twice a week to help with organization and structure. Additionally, our team can coordinate with schools to advocate for additional resources in the classroom.
