Generalized Anxiety Disorder– People with this disorder experience feelings of intense distress and irrational fear that can interfere with all of the activities in their daily life. People with this disorder often times have major troubles with communication with other, working, or socializing because of fear.
Panic Disorder- A type of anxiety disorder that is characterized by episodic attacks of extreme, debilitating fear. A person may have major physical side effects like chest pain, tightness in the throat, a racing heartbeat, treamors and sweating. Though Panic attacks are rarely life-threatening, they are usually mediocre with mostly physical detriments.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder– Fear is the main factor in dealing with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The intense fear that people with this disorder experience, often create behaviors of compulsive ritualistic behaviors in order to calm their nerves and block with intrusive thoughts and images.
Bipolar Disorder– Disorders like Bipolar Disorder that are diagnosed by alternating episodes of depression and mania, leaves individuals in emotional instability. A depressive episode often comes with a feeling of lethargy, despondency, and hopelessness. On the other end of the spectrum, Manic episodes are often tied to high energy-levels, risk-taking behaviors, and high emotional behavior. Depressive and Manic episodes often switch off and on intermittently and consistency, social engagement, and other everyday activities becomes a struggle with someone suffering from Bipolar Disorder.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder– PTSD patients are plagued by a traumatic prior event that threatens ones livelihood or safety. If the emotions, including anger or fear, are never dealt with concerning this event, the individual can suffer from flashbacks, nightmares, emotional instability, fear, and anxiety.
Eating Disorder– There are multiple different eating disorders. Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Anorexia Nervosa are some of the eating disorders that are psychiatric conditions. These conditions manifest in the way that the certain individual eats food. Often turns into self-destructive behaviors surrounding all sorts of exercise, diet, and physical health.
