Mental Health Disorders We Treat

Our premier mental health treatment professionals understand how complex mental illnesses can be. Many people struggle with more than one diagnosis, making it imperative that their treatment comes from professionals who know exactly how to treat them. Our compassionate clinical team has experience helping clients with a broad range of diagnoses, including:

We Design a Continuum of Care Based on Your Needs

Part of what sets Clear Recovery Center apart from other mental health treatment programs is how we provide a full continuum of care. We take into consideration the specific needs of each client we treat. We pride ourselves on our expert clinical team that is highly trained in the latest evidence-based treatments and therapies. Our team assesses each person and creates an individualized, evidence-based, and age-specific plan to give our clients the best possible chance at long-term recovery.

As part of our program, each of our clients is assigned a personal therapist who works directly with them through the duration of their mental health treatment programs. Additionally, every client receives support and guidance from their own case manager so that they may reenter the world more confident and prepared. Having one-on-one support allows our clients and treatment professionals to work together to understand where to focus on areas of treatment, assess the progress that is being made, and plan for the next step in treatment.

Evidence-Based Treatment for Mental Health

At Clear Recovery Center, we understand how vital good mental health is for people to have fulfilling and rewarding lives. Enjoying better mental health also improves a person’s ability to function in several areas of their lives, including their jobs, schooling, home life, hobbies, and planning for the future.

With those goals in mind, our mental health treatment program in Los Angeles takes a comprehensive approach to recovery. Each level of care incorporates evidence-based treatment to create a sustainable approach to mental health recovery. We incorporate several different treatment modalities into individual therapy, group sessions, case management, psychiatry, and wellness groups. This allows our clients to have access to an array of treatment options that maximize their ability to manage their mental health in ways they might not have thought possible.

The types of treatment modalities we offer include:

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a type of therapy that helps people change negative thought patterns and behaviors that might be contributing to their mental health disorders. It provides a highly effective way to treat depression, anxiety disorders, other types of mental illness, and drug and alcohol addiction.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

A modified type of CBT, this type of therapy treats a variety of mental illnesses. DBT’s ability to help people cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and live in the moment also works well for treating substance use disorders and eating disorders.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy focuses on a person’s present life circumstances, teaching them to understand how to put them in context and better perceive them. The focus shifts from placing blame for life events to learning to take responsibility.

Psychiatry/Medication Management

When necessary, prescription medications can be employed to help reduce or eliminate the side effects of mental health conditions. Psychiatrists can provide both talk therapy and prescribe and manage any needed medications.

Psychodynamic Therapy

This type of therapy helps people focus on the roots of their emotional suffering and better understand their thoughts and feelings. It can help a great deal when it comes to depression, anxiety, panic, and stress-related physical conditions.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic experiencing involves learning to release the stress that has built up in the body due to suffering from trauma. This method proves particularly effective for those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a highly effective way to help people reduce the impact that past trauma has on their lives. An EMDR-trained therapist supervises the client as they recall traumatic events while simultaneously directing eye movements and other physical actions.

Experiential Therapy

This type of therapy involves engaging the body in order to access certain psychological elements and help heal them. Examples of this therapy include art, music, drama, wilderness, and equine therapy.

Yoga

Yoga involves body movement, meditation, and breathing in order to improve a person’s physical and mental health. It also works well to relieve stress, improve relaxation, and sharpen a person’s thinking.

Biodynamic Breathwork

Breathwork draws from Eastern practices and involves learning to control a person’s breathing patterns. It helps promote self-awareness and relaxation and improves mental, spiritual, and physical health.

Soundbath Healing and Meditation

Soundbaths provide a meditative experience that “bathes” a person in sounds, including music, chanting phrases, or other types of sounds. They help a person relax, increase awareness, and feel a sense of harmony.

What people are saying.

  • I can’t say enough good things about Clear Recovery Center. The care that I received was exceptional. The staff are very professional and committed to providing outstanding treatment. They go out of their way to cultivate an atmosphere of compassion, awareness, and recovery.

  • The multi-pronged approach; the counselors, individual therapy, nutrition, sympathetic/empathetic counselors of each group session shifted my brain paths. You are never finished there, even when you “graduate”, they hold alumni group sessions when you feel you need it. I have nothing but gratitude for their program.

    Marci B.
  • Clear Recovery Center is my second family that I never knew I had that supported me and continues to passionately support the sober community. The therapists, counselors and group facilitators have been amazing in helping me have a voice, loving myself again, and seeing the world in a new light. I am eternally grateful.

    Liz R.
  • From the get go, the staff made me feel welcome and were all very friendly. My therapist and case manager were also very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. I found that the somatic therapy was the most valuable for me, the therapist who ran those groups was great. My biggest takeaway from treatment was to take the time to pause, not be afraid to ask for help, and not worry about things in the moment. If you are looking for meaningful change and being part of a new and supportive community, then Clear Recovery is the right fit.

  • Overall I loved the experience and did not want to leave. The staff was very helpful and motivated me to stay even when I felt like running away. I also built meaningful connections with my therapist and case manager who gave me a lot of useful advice and are still supporting me today. Since leaving, my family and sponsor have noticed a big difference, and I could not recommend a more supportive environment for addiction and mental health treatment, Clear saved my life.
