Alcohol Treatment in Southern California
Let us help you today.
Alcohol addiction can be hard to recognize, and it can feel impossible to beat. Alcohol is a socially accepted drug. Many people don’t realize they have an addiction until it starts to cause big issues.
If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol addiction, you know the toll it takes on both the user and their family. But there is hope. Alcohol does not define you. You can break free of your addiction. At Clear Recovery Center, we can help you start this process.
At Clear Recovery Center, we offer the full spectrum of recovery and rehabilitation resources. We treat the whole individual, not just their addiction. We help the addict recognize the underlying problems that led to their addiction. They will develop tools to overcome their addiction without the use of alcohol. They’ll be able to connect with people who share the same struggles and become part of a community of healing and understanding.
Every journey begins with a single step. If you’re an addict that’s ready to end the cycle, or a loved one is struggling with alcohol dependence, give us a call. We welcome everyone to join our family with support for every step of recovery.
How We Treat Alcohol Addiction
At Clear Recovery, we specialize in treating co-occurring disorders. This is when someone has both mental health and addiction disorders – such as depression and alcohol dependence. It happens more often than you may think. Many addictions are rooted in a treatable mental health disorder. You can’t deal with one without addressing the other.
We know that everybody experiences addiction and mental health in different ways. That’s why we create an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to the specific addict. We offer over ten different recovery services and three different rehabilitation programs to ensure you have everything you need for success.
Our Partial Hospitalization program is our most comprehensive and intense treatment program. It is meant for people in the initial stages of recovery and helps create a strong foundation for their sobriety.
The Partial Hospitalization group meets at our center for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. During this time, our clients receive some of the best professional substance abuse and mental health services available. These include:
- Individual and group therapy
- Family and couples’ therapy
- Individual case management
- Nutrition education
- Mindfulness and mediation practices
This program can last anywhere between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on the client’s needs. After that time, we strongly recommend our clients transition to our Intensive Outpatient program. This helps ensure they have all the support and resources they need to continue making progress in their recovery.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is the next step in the recovery process. It is meant for people who have completed some type of detox program and are medically stable.
Our IOP group meets for 4 hours a day, 3 days a week. Everyone has access to all the same services they did in our Partial Hospitalization group, but with a new emphasis on taking the steps necessary to create a healthy lifestyle.
Many of our IOP clients are students, have jobs, or are seeking employment. The group provides support and structure as they transition back into their daily routines and responsibilities. It typically lasts 12 weeks, but that time can vary depending on the individual’s needs.
After completion of the Intensive Outpatient Program, clients are ready to transition to our regular Outpatient group.
Our Outpatient (OP) groups are provide continued support and structure for clients who have finished IOP and no longer require such an intense level of treatment. They have the same access to all the Clear Recovery services as they learn to balance their recovery with the challenges of daily life.
The meeting times and duration of our OP groups will depend on the client’s schedule and progress. We offer many groups at different times to ensure everyone can find one that fits their schedule.
For more information about our programs and services, give us a call. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have about the program.
WHAT WE TREAT
Co-occuring Addiction and Mental Health Issues
Substance use disorders can coincide with mental health or even multiple issues at once. That includes mood, developmental, eating, and behavioral disorders. Clear Recovery Center is equipped to handle a wide variety of co-occurring disorders.
How Alcohol is Used
Alcohol is commonly consumed at social occasions, like dinners and parties. Many people like it because it lowers inhibitions and helps people feel more at ease. Doing this in excess can lead to binge drinking. This is when a person drinks large amounts of alcohol at once, but not necessarily every day. Binge drinking is still a form of alcohol abuse and can lead to addiction.
Many also use alcohol to help them relax after a stressful day or event. Using alcohol to cope with stress in this manner can quickly lead to dependence. Alcohol doesn’t make problems disappear. The stressor is only numbed, and now the person must also battle a life-threatening addiction.
At Clear Recovery Center, our clients learn skills to deal with stress that don’t involve drug use. Give us a call today to see what we can do for you.
Why Alcohol is so Addictive
Alcohol is one of few addictive drugs that is widely accepted in society. It is easy to buy and can be found in most households. It isn’t unacceptable for someone to enjoy a few beers after work, or even get intoxicated on a weekend. This is a big part of why it becomes so addictive. Most people don’t even know they have a problem until they develop a severe dependency.
Once you develop alcohol dependency, your body needs alcohol to function. Some people need a drink to sleep at night or every few hours just to make it through the day. If they don’t, they start to suffer withdrawal. Alcohol withdrawal can be more than just unpleasant – it can be deadly.
If you want to detox from alcohol, our Partial Hospitalization might help. Call Clear Recovery today for more information.
